Here’s a little look…
Kensington was the one who told me to look for MILK MAKEUP HYDROGRIP to wear as a primer under my foundation. THIS ONE is also a glow illuminating primer with light-reflecting pearls.
You guys, I am wearing this every day under my foundation. It looks extra gold and pearly, but it goes on very subtle and just takes my blah November skin and gives it an *extra* little glow. It’s not glittery or shiny, it’s just a healthy glow to wake up my “dark days of November” skin. I really like it, and as it’s a primer, it also keeps my makeup in place.
See? Just a bit glowy but not glittery. This is us on our trip eating caviar on our food tour (deets to come!) not being interrogated by the police per the bright light in our faces. Ha!
Next up, I bought…
…PATRICK TA’S MAJOR HEADLINES DOUBLE TAKE CREME & POWDER BLUSH DUO because my friend Shanna told me this was a must. Since my hair is now darker, and we’re in the darker days of fall, I thought a darker blush would be nice instead of my normal bright one…but this duo comes in SO MANY other color combinations too! I bought it in SHE’S BLUSHING. It’s both powder and a cream so that you can use one or the other or layer or add later in the day for a touchup (which is what I do). Fabulous!
How many times have you heard me talk about…
…CHARLOTTE TILBURY PILLOW TALK? It’s iconic for a reason…it’s universally flattering.
Right now though…
…Sephora at Kohl’s has this MINI LIPSTICK AND LINER SET in four different Pillow Talk shades.
This was my lip color of choice every day on our trip (and it’s been continuing on here at home too) for the daytime.
At night though…
…I bought this CREME LIP STAIN SET…
…because I loved the punch-ier more intense shades for evenings during holiday season. Here I am trying them all at home…
…and then wearing them at night on our trip.
You know I wear…
…a Laura Mercier CAVIAR STICK every day. I always put a nude color all over my lids as a primer (I love Vanilla Kiss!), and then add my eye shadow on top. I have been doing this for YEARS.
Here is Vanilla Kiss and then I smudged next to it Burnished Bronze. If I want to add a little more “oomph” at night, I smudge the darker shade on my lash line. These little sticks are amazing and come in so many different colors plus some are matte while others are shimmery.
Right now, you can also grab…
…this WINTER WISHES CAVIAR STICK EYE SHADOW TRIO if you want to try several colors in a smaller size and/or need a fun stocking stuffer. This would be a great way to try three different and versatile shades!

…TARTE’S EYE SHADOW PALETTES more times than I can count. They are a cult favorite because they are affordable, bendable, filled with pretty neutrals that layer easily, and they stay on all day. If you walked up to me on the street and said “Quick, name your favorite eye shadow”, without hesitation, I would say TARTE.
I put this little EYE SHADOW BRUSH SET in my travel makeup bag, and they worked so well (and took up little space). Right now, this entire set is only $7.50. That is a crazy good deal!
I have just a few more little sets that might make great stocking stuffers this holiday season…
…I bought this SOL DE JANEIRO SET because all three of my girls are obsessed with these scents. I’m going to add them to their stockings.
And then don’t forget…
…I wear these REPLICA SCENTS every day (a different scent for each season) and the SAMPLER SET is a great way to try them all/travel with them/give as a gift. Currently typing this while wearing By The Fireplace 🙂 .
