Mrs. Hawkins was born June 26, 1931, in Columbus, daughter of Cleveland and Marie Biggers. She was a HAWKINS HAWKINS homemaker, a member of Greater Beallwood Baptist Church, and a 1950 graduate of Spencer High School. She was the widow of Curtis J. Hawkins.

Survivors include two sons, Erskin Hawkins and Coleman Hawkins; a daughter, Betty Taylor, all of Columbus; a stepson, Douglas Fitzpatrick of Atlanta; two brothers, Ralph Biggers and Willie Biggers, both of Columbus; and eight grandchildren. James J. McKibbins Retired Master Sgt. James J. McKibbins, 63, of 2463 Walker Columbus, died Monday at his home.

A military graveside funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Fort Benning's Main Post Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus. Master Sgt. McKibbins was born June 21, 1929, in Milwaukee. His parents' names were not available.
